JoyGardens Design and Devoted Care is a Greater Victoria based organic landscaping, gardening, and design firm. Their original website was outdated and wasn't getting any traffic or search engine rank, and it was difficult for them to post their own updates and blog posts. We did a top-to-bottom rebuild of the site, adding new photos, a Content Management System (CMS), and created strong Value Propositions that spoke to both the search engines and the target audience. It was a fun project; we love working for businesses that offer great services while supporting the natural environment.
While the old website had close to zero traffic, the new site we built for JoyGardens incorporated Keyword Research for the domain and for the content. As a result, it continues to perform well in the search engines, generating more leads and sales every month.
Project Specifics
We started this project with Domain Keyword Research, matching our best keywords with an available domain, Landscapingvictoriabc.ca. Aside from this Keyworded Domain, we also purchased the client a proprietary domain to match their business name, such that it can be used on print materials. The proprietary domain was then forwarded to the keyworded domain location for a consistent user experience. The results in the search engines have been fabulous; we have been on the first page of Google in a long entrenched highly competitive industry since the second week after launch. The owner at JoyGardens has stated how pleased she is with the new leads coming in through the site due to our SEO work.
Collaborating with the owner at JoyGardens, we arranged all of the written content to be accessed easily by site users. We added a newsfeed that staff can post to easily, and gave clear instructions on how to add new pages to the site. At a small cost, we upgraded this site to include high security features that so far have blocked all hacking attempts. We continue to perform monthly maintenance, and continue to hear praise from the owner.
